Manifesto MANIFESTO By Sen. Nyenbuchi Houma Favour – Aspirant for Senate President, Students’ Union Government, University of Port Harcourt Good afternoon to the vibrant, progressive, and conscious students of the University of Port Harcourt. I am Senator Nyenbuchi Houma Favour , a 300-level student in the Faculty of Engineering, and I humbly present myself as an aspirant for the office of Senate President of our esteemed Students’ Union Government (SUG). Leadership is not about occupying a position, it is about serving people with intergrity ,fairness and commitment. Today i present myself not because i am perfect but because i am ready to work tirelessly for the progress of our student's welfare My journey in student leadership has been shaped by active participation and dedicated service. I had the privilege of serving as a Senator in the 10th Senate, where I also contributed as In-HouseSecretaryCommittee On Welfare. These experiences have broadened my understanding of the legislative process, student representation, and the pressing needs of our unique student community. If Elected as Senate president my Vision is to build a senate that is 1. Transparent in its decisions 2.Acountable to every students 3. Independent in carryng out its constitutional Responsibilities with out compromising the Constitution If elected as Senate President, my priorities will include 1. The voices of students are amplified so that every concern, suggestion, and aspiration finds a place in the decision-making process. 2. The rights and welfare of students are safeguarded ensuring that fairness, equity, and accountability remain at the heart of our legislative functions. 3. Legislative efficiency is strengthened by fostering unity, transparency, and effective communication between the Senate and the general student body. 4. I will ensure that the senate becomes more active, more discplined and more Transparent My vision is rooted in service, integrity, and constructive engagement. I believe that leadership is not about titles, but about creating tangible impact, defending the interests of students, and building a legacy of trust and progress in the Students’ Union Government. Together, we can ensure that the University of Port Harcourt remains a place where the dignity, rights, and voices of students are never compromised. Vote Sen.
